So today I picked up Red Steel again, a game that I previously dismissed as pure shit an under average game, but after an action packed session of gun slinging and sword swiping with my trusty Wii-mote, I started to have a liking towards the game.
Basically, the reason why the game is getting so many average reviews is due to the dodgy control scheme. However, after half an hour of shooting wildly and hoping to kill some-one, you’ll get the hang of aiming and this is when the game gets fun.
Another poor thing about the game is the voice acting, sounds very rushed and fake, but really, I couldn’t care because I expected it too be much worse after reading many reviews. The awesome music also makes up for this flaw, all of it is made by the famed Tom Salta and his talent defiently brushes off in the music.
With all that out of the way, I would recommend this game to Wii owners, but do not go into the game thinking it is going to be a masterpiece, go in with moderate expectations and you should be susprised and boggled to think why Gamespot would give this game 5.5.
